Silver bullion investments can be made in many forms from silver funds on paper to 100oz size silver bullion bars or ingots. If you wish to physically invest in the silver market and actually hold your own silver bullion personally you have two main options. Either holding your physical silver bullion in the form of silver bars or in silver bullion coins (silver bullion rounds).
People have traditionally invested in silver by purchasing bullion. Silver bullion will come in the form of bars. In countries such as Switzerland, silver bars can be purchased over the counter at banks. Many investors also purchase silver in the form of coins.
Some popular silver coins include the Liberty Dollar or Peace silver Dollar containing 90% Silver. Another US silver bullion coin is the Americal Eagle Silver 1oz bullion coin at 99.9% purity silver bullion. Silver coins come in two types, and these are junk silver or fine silver. Junk silver will usually be older coins that will typically only be 90% silver. Fine coins tend to be newer and will usually be about 99.9% pure silver. There are a number of places which also sell sterling silver coins.
